Community Context
Region
The SFSU campus is located in the southwest corner of the City and County of San Francisco. The University’s two main
satellite campuses are the Downtown Center on Market Street and the Romberg Tiburon Center, located 30 minutes north
of San Francisco in Marin County. The proximity of SFSU to the San Andreas Fault is a significant life-safety and cost
consideration in evaluating the existing condition of the campus and planning for future development.
