Surrounding Land Use
Residential and Mixed-Use Residential are the predominant land uses surrounding the campus to the north, east, and south.
Immediately to the north is Stonestown classified, Retail/Entertainment, and to the northwest, Lowell High School, classified
Cultural/Institutional/Educational.
Significant open space around Lake Merced lies to the west and further north at Stern Grove.
The land owned by the SFSU Foundation in University Park South is classified as Residential and Mixed-Use Residential.
