Bicycle
Bicycle commuting is discouraged at SFSU by a number of factors. These include prohibition of bicycle usage in the campus central
core, a lack of conveniently located bicycle racks, limited Bike Barn hours of operation, poor Web-based information on bike access
and amenities, and gaps in the bicycle network near campus. Discouragement of bicycles at SFSU is reflected in the very low existing
mode share of bicycles relative to other university campuses.
