Circulation, Transportation, and Parking
Shuttle
Transit access at SFSU is also supplemented with University-provided shuttle services between the campus and Daly City
BART station. 14 percent of SFSU commuters use the campus shuttle as part of their journey to campus.
The main area of concern with respect to the SFSU shuttles is that of capacity, which affects frequency when full vehicles
pass up passengers. During the survey period, long queues were observed forming for the shuttles at the 19th Avenue and
Holloway, Library and Tapia Drive stops. Queues and overcrowding are reported by passengers to be a daily occurrence.
The shuttle shelters are old, undersized for the ridership levels and do not adequately provide protection from wind and rain.
The stops also lack clear route information, schedules, and poles indicating the stops.
