A continuous greenbelt between 19th Avenue and Lake Merced where...
A recreation/green zone—with bicycle and pedestrian trails, playing fields, and a recreation/wellness center that are visible from throughout
the campus—animates the valley and reestablishes the campus’s historic connection to Lake Merced and the coast.
The enhancement of the valley celebrates the site’s natural history and provides SFSU, local schools, and the community with a living
laboratory for environmental education.
From within and outside the campus, the valley greenbelt provides spectacular views.
