SFSU partners with its neighbors, adheres to green building and site design, uses alternative energy sources, and
promotes the use of alternative transportation.
The University’s wise use of resources is reflected in its day-to-day practices including recycling, electronic versus
paper communication, support of local organic food, etc.
Building and site design that is responsive to the local climate creates a healthy and productive environment within
which to learn, live, and work.
